COMMENTS BY THE AUTHORS:

This image of Ic 1848, the Foetus in the Soul Nebula, is the first image taken with our Astrosib 400.

The installation was more laborious than expected, as we were not familiar with the equipment. Then the Moravian G3 camera broke down, the cooling did not exceed 5 degrees.

However, we managed to process the image and this first result is full of hope for the next shoots with a new camera.

COMMENTS ON THE PHOTO:

The Soul Nebula is about 6500 light years away and extends for about 100 light years. The Soul Nebula is an emission nebula in the Constellation Cassiopeia and is one of the most beautiful nebulae in the autumn sky.
